CCMG & Garrod 2026 Joint Conference

Hotel Château-Bromont, Bromont, Quebec

Oxford Nanopore is exhibiting and presenting at the inaugural joint meeting between the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists (CCMG) and the Garrod Association. The conference will provide a national forum on genetic disorders with an emphasis on inborn errors of metabolism. It will foster collaboration among the metabolic and genetics communities, including physicians, nurses, dieticians, genetic counsellors, other allied health professionals, laboratory geneticists, laboratory staff, researchers, trainees, patient advocacy groups and industry partners.

Breakfast Symposium

Toward the full genomic picture: real-time, multiomic profiling in rare disease and pediatric oncology with Oxford Nanopore sequencing

Join us at the Breakfast Symposium on Wednesday to hear how Oxford Nanopore Technologies continues to redefine genomic sequencing through a portfolio of innovations — from long-read and ultra-long-read sequencing to methylation detection, adaptive sampling, and telomere-to-telomere assembly. This session opens with Alex Lindell, Senior Director of Product Marketing giving an overview of these advances and their collective potential to transform rare disease genomics. Building on that foundation, our second presenter, Dr. Vincent-Philippe Lavallée of the CHU Sainte-Justine and the Université de Montréal will demonstrate the clinical power of real-time Oxford Nanopore sequencing in pediatric oncology. Dr. Lavallée will share a standardized ONT Whole-Genome Sequencing approach using Adaptive Sampling (AS-WGS) that consolidates multi-step diagnostic workflows into a single, rapid assay — delivering comprehensive tumor profiling when it matters most.

Date: Wednesday, June 10

Time: 8:30 pm-9:30 am EST

Location: Main Plenary Stage
