How do I upgrade the software on my Device?
For devices without integrated compute you can download the latest version of the software here.
For devices with integrated compute, such as the GridION, PromethION 24/48 and P2 integrated. You can update via the command-line or through the GUI within MinKNOW.
To update via MinKNOW simply navigate to the Host settings, then select Software. Here you will see buttons to update the software, if available.
You must power-cycle your device following the update for all processes to complete successfully. A reboot is not sufficient and the device must be fully powered off.
