Why do I need to perform DNA repair in my library preparation?

Why do I need to perform DNA repair in my library preparation?

DNA Repair (using NEBNext® FFPE) allows to repair base damages and nicks. If DNA repair is not performed it can negatively impact your sequencing run.

You also need to dA-tail your DNA prior to the sequencing adapter ligation. As described in our protocols, both FFPE repair and dA-tailing steps are combined into one.
