I’m having difficulty connecting via a secure shell session (SSH) to my Mk1C

A secure shell session is a way to interact with your Mk1C on the same network but physically away from the device. SSH also provides further detail about your Mk1C. You can find detailed instructions on setting up the connection here.

The following are troubleshooting tips on connecting via secure shell to a Mk1C.

  • Check time is correct on the Mk1C and your computer as per this FAQ.
  • Connect to the same network - If your institution uses a VPN, make sure you are on the same network as the Mk1C.
  • Make sure remote connection is enabled - Check the setting panel on the Mk1C to ensure remote connection is enabled, this must be done on the Mk1C directly.
  • Use the Mk1C IP address if the serial number does not find the Mk1C (i.e. replace MC-XXXXX) - The IP address of the Mk1C can be found in the settings panel on the UI of the Mk1C.

Please contact the Technical Support Team if you require further assistance.
