Abstract An overview of nanopore sequencing of native bacterial genomes and their diverse modifications, highlighting recent advances in consensus workflows for bacterial isolate and plasmid sequencing. Biography Katherine Lawrence is a bioinformatician with a background in evolutionary biology, microbiology, and biophysics. She completed her PhD at MIT before joining the Machine Learning team at Oxford Nanopore Technologies three years ago. She currently leads the Primary and Secondary Analysis team, whose goal is to improve the accuracy and robustness of basecalling, variant calling, and consensus models.
