GA4GH 14th Plenary Meeting 2026
The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH) will hold its 14th Plenary meeting from 28 September to 2 October 2026 at One Farrer Hotel Singapore.
Co-hosted by Precision Health Research, Singapore (PRECISE), the meeting will gather participants from across the health and biomedical ecosystem to advance topics in global genomic and health data sharing.

Lakmal Jayasinghe, Chief Scientific Officer, Oxford Nanopore TechnologiesDr. Lakmal Jayasinghe is the Chief Scientific Officer at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where he leads the company's scientific strategy, innovation roadmap, and global R&D activities. Since joining Oxford Nanopore in 2006 following a DPhil in Chemical Biology from the University of Oxford, he has played a central role in transforming the academic concept of nanopore sensing into a globally adopted platform for long read, real-time sequencing. Over nearly two decades, Lakmal has led multidisciplinary teams across chemistry, biology, engineering, and product development, driving advances in sequencing performance and new applications, including direct RNA sequencing, protein sequencing and multiomics. He works closely with leading academic institutions, healthcare organisations, industry partners, and governments worldwide to accelerate the adoption of nanopore technologies across research, clinical genomics, biopharma, biosecurity, and environmental sciences. He is passionate about translating scientific innovation into technologies that broaden access to molecular analysis and improve human health.
