Micah Hoylman is a Research Technologist at University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), where he uses microbial isolate sequencing for hospital acquired infection outbreak detection and hybrid-capture next-generation sequencing for high-sensitivity pathogen characterization. He holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and an MS in Biotechnology from Mount Marty University. His work includes traveling internationally to support laboratories with limited access to sequencing infrastructure, providing hands-on training and helping expand global capacity for genomic surveillance and infectious disease response.
