- Biography
Tilda began her academic career at the University of Leeds where she graduated with an MBiol in Biochemistry. She then worked at the Anthony Nolan Research Institute as a research assistant. Here, she carried out long-read single-molecule, real-time (SMRT) sequencing of human leukocyte antigen genes on cohorts of patient and donor pairs that had previously undergone haematopoietic stem-cell transplantation. For the past 18 months Tilda has been based at Kings College London supporting the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) 22k project, completing a high-throughput whole-genome sequencing workflow using an Oxford Nanopore sequencing platform.
