Sequence from as little as 10pg starting material

Fri 27th January 2017

We have made available to our user community a new library preparation protocol for DNA sequencing using Whole Genome Amplification. It is designed to help users who have a very low amount of starting material prepare DNA libraries for sequencing on the latest R9.4 chemistry.

Whole Genome Amplification has been of interest to the Nanopore community for some time, and the Applications team at Oxford Nanopore has developed a way to convert hyperbranched WGA DNA into a form that is compatible with nanopore sequencing without compromising read length.

The Method is performed using the latest Ligation Sequencing kit (available at the store).

For current users of the MinION, full protocols are visible in the Nanopore community and a Community post gives more detail.
