Biography

Andre Holzer is an independent researcher and entrepreneur, specialising in microbial systems biology, long-read bioinformatics, and real-time genomics. He studied biotechnology at Heidelberg University (GER) and conducted his PhD as a Gates Cambridge Scholar at the University of Cambridge (UK). Intrigued by the potential of real-time genomics, he employs his interdisciplinary expertise to yield innovative insights into microbial ecosystems. Through his consultancy, Dr. Holzer facilitates researchers worldwide in optimising their long-read sequencing methodologies for both scientific discovery and industrial endeavours.

Biography

Sarah Griffiths is a Bioinformatics Workflow Developer in the Customer Workflows team at Oxford Nanopore Technologies. In her role, she creates Nextflow workflows as well as developing and maintaining existing workflows including wf-clone-validation, wf-transcriptomes, and wf-pore-c.
