To export logs from your compute-integrated device (e.g. GridION, PromethION 24, PromethION 2 Integrated or MinION Mk1C) please navigate in the MinKNOW GUI to Host Settings > Help and select Export under Export Logs.

The logs will be saved as a TGZ file in the /data/logs directory.

If the GUI is inaccessible and you have access to the terminal locally or via SSH, you can export the logs to the same location with the following command: sudo /opt/ont/mooneye/bin/ont-mooneye-save-logs .

Once the logs have been generated into the TGZ file, you can navigate to the File Manager to transfer the logs onto a USB drive as described in the MinKNOW manual. Alternatively, you can connect to your device and transfer the files directly onto another computer. Please submit the whole TGZ file for review.
