Plongle

Nanopore sensing technologies can be both miniaturised but also parallelised. Plongle combines these two features to deliver a device with 96 individual, disposable flow cells for routine use.

The Plongle is designed for users who wish to carry out larger numbers of small, quick tests in parallel. The design, incorporating a new disposable ASIC, enables users to achieve low costs-per-sample without the need for multiplexing.

The device is designed to interface with tools typically found in high-throughput sample environments such as automation and multichannel pipettes.

Coupled with developments in simplified sample extraction and library preparation, users can begin to deploy DNA and RNA sequencing in environments typically designed for more basic molecular testing methods (such as PCR and Microarrays) and expand and/or utilise the additional information provided to increase the insight into their samples.
