The EPI2ME Desktop Application provides an opportunity to analyse sequence data in the cloud. If you select cloud analysis, your sequence data will be uploaded to an Amazon cloud instance managed by Oxford Nanopore. During the setup process, encryption keys unique to your user instance are created and the uploaded data is accessible only to you. Oxford Nanopore cannot observe your data or results. The information is transient and is also cleared when a run has been completed.

Workflows may also share limited telemetry information if this is not disabled. This information only identifies the workflow (and its version) being run and whether the workflow completes successfully. This information is used to ensure the quality of the platform.
