How many more bases on target can I get when using adaptive sampling?

How many more bases on target can I get when using adaptive sampling?

A typical on-target enrichment factor is around 3-7x, depending on the size of the region of interest, the properties of the sample and the load on the device.

Please keep in mind that the theoretical maximum gain is the inverse of the proportion of the number of reads which match your target. This means, the more you target, the lower your potential for enrichment. An ideal targeting range is between 0 and 5% of the sample, with a recommended maximum of 10%.

More information about adaptive sampling can be found in the adaptive sampling guide.
