- In 'Overview of the protocol', an important note on Kit14 sequencing and duplex basecalling info sheet was removed as this is a Legacy document and its information is no longer applicable.
- In 'Compatibility of this protocol', MinION Mk1B and Mk1C were replaced with Mk1D as these device documents have moved to legacy and their user manuals were removed from 'Data acquisition and basecalling'.
- - In 'Priming and loading the MinION/GridION Flow Cell', a tip was added to bring the flow cell to room temperature for better visibility of the array. And the addition of BSA to the flow cell priming mix was changed from a 'recommended' to a 'required' instruction. In 'Complete a flow cell check', the link for the flow cell check in MinKNOW was replaced with the flow cell check document. And an important note regarding the MinION Mk1D device leaving a small gap around the sides, when a flow cell is inserted and the lid is closed was added to the end of this section.
