The MinKNOW software produces real-time summaries of a sequencing run; this includes information on pore state, sequence volumes and quality and other metrics useful for making decisions during a run.

The wf-metagenomics application can be run as real-time application and can be used to assess the metagenomic composition of a sequenced sample while the sequencing run remains active.
