Rhydian is a machine learning research scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies. His primary focus is improving models for secondary analysis tasks (e.g. variant calling, read correction, and consensus). Before joining Oxford Nanopore 18 months ago, Rhydian completed a PhD at the University of Oxford in the Visual Geometry Group, using modern techniques from the fields of computer vision and machine learning to improve medical image and text analysis.
