Streamlined identification of bacteria, archaea, and fungi with Oxford Nanopore microbial amplicon barcoding

Preview of the microbial amplicon barcoding workflow.

Overview

The identification of prokaryotes through targeted analysis of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene is a technique utilised across microbiology, from infectious disease research through to environmental studies.

The Oxford Nanopore microbial amplicon barcoding workflow enables full-length sequencing of both the 16S gene and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region, delivering the clarity and resolution you need to unravel your microbial samples.

In this workflow, you will:

  • Discover how Oxford Nanopore any-length reads deliver greater taxonomic resolution of your microbial samples than legacy short-read technology
  • Find out how to prepare and sequence full-length 16S and ITS amplicons with the Microbial Amplicon Barcoding Kit and Oxford Nanopore technology
  • Learn about intuitive data analysis with EPI2ME, suitable for all levels of experience
