In 2016, for the 1st time, WHO incorporated genotype, along with phenotype, into glioma classification

Thidathip: with nanopore you can simultaneously assess MGMT methylation and IDH1/IDH2 mutations, associated with glioma. Plus, the 841 nt MGMT promoter can be obtained in single long reads.

Thidathip: Cas9+nanopore targeted sequencing (nCATS) can assess glioma molecular markers. It is simple (all targets can be investigated in the same sample), and fast, requiring only 2 days.
