Graham Hall is Vice President of Sequencing Development at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where he oversees R&D teams responsible for optimising and ensuring consistency of the company’s sequencing platforms. His role encompasses managing innovations from nanopore chips and flow cell chemistries to the software scripts that enable precise sequencing control, ensuring each component integrates seamlessly to deliver optimal performance.
Graham joined Oxford Nanopore in 2007, starting as a scientist conducting single nanopore experiments. Over his tenure, he advanced through various scientific roles, gaining extensive expertise in the integrated workings of biology, chemistry, hardware, and software. Today, his teams provide critical benchmarking, failure-mode analysis, and troubleshooting, coordinating closely with multiple departments to enhance sequencing technologies and platform reliability. Graham holds an Master’s degree in Chemistry from Cardiff University and has a longstanding commitment and detailed understanding of core technologies at Oxford Nanopore.
