Compatible ecosystem growth accelerates across oncology, pathogen and multi‑omics workflows

Oxford, UK: 18 May 2026 - Through the Compatible Products Programme, Oxford Nanopore continues to scale via an ecosystem of trusted partner solutions that increase flexibility for customers and extend the reach of its real‑time, any‑length sequencing across translational and clinical research settings. As the platform advances, this expanding ecosystem is translating core capability into practical, operational solutions across human genetics, oncology, pathogen research, and multi‑omics applications.

Precision oncology demands deeper insight with optimised cost and efficiency. Compatibility with Agilent Technologies’ widely adopted SureSelect targeted enrichment workflows enables higher resolution analysis of clinically relevant genomic regions, including complex structural variants that are difficult to resolve with short‑read approaches. This addition further expands the compatible solutions available with Agilent, alongside automation and sample QC.

Werfen has announced an expanded strategic collaboration with Oxford Nanopore to validate Werfen’s specialised transplant assays for use with nanopore sequencing platforms, bringing together high precision assays with rapid, information‑rich sequencing. The partnership focuses on streamlined, validated sample‑to‑answer assays for applications such as HLA typing and donor–recipient matching, reducing complexity and time to high-resolution results.

Genomize and Golden Helix are partnering with Oxford Nanopore to enhance the human variation and Hereditary Cancer Panel, combining clinical grade tertiary analysis with nanopore sequencing to improve visibility into structural variants in cancer risk genes and deliver confident, actionable insight.

Supporting applications in rare disease, hereditary cancer, and pharmacogenomics, Lucid Genomics provides a cloud-native secondary and tertiary analysis platform for long-read sequencing, enabling interpretation of complex genomic features, including structural variants, repeat expansions and methylation patterns. Lucid Genomics delivers a streamlined path from sequencing to high-confidence results across research and translational research workflows.

As sequencing moves towards larger-scale use, automation is becoming increasingly important. Volta Labs’ automated sample preparation solutions, optimised for the PromethION platform, support reproducibility and throughput in whole-genome sequencing, while Hologic Diagenode provides DNA and RNA shearing solutions for long‑read workflows, delivering consistent long fragment inputs at scale. Integration with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is also expanding with QLIMS by OnQ Software and Sapio LIMS from Sapio Sciences, further embeds Oxford Nanopore within laboratory workflow infrastructure. Together, these support data integrity, operational efficiency and consistency across DNA and RNA research.

The latest ecosystem additions highlight growth at both ends of the workflow from routine, time‑sensitive analysis to more advanced multi-omics research. Integration of BugSeq’s automated analysis within EPI2ME Desktop simplifies bioinformatics for high confidence pathogen detection, while compatibility with ArgenTag’s single‑cell RNA library preparation kit extends the platform into integrated single-cell workflows, unlocking isoform-level resolution and richer insight across oncology, immunology, and developmental biology.

Dr Thomas Bray, VP Corporate Business Development commented: “Our Compatible Products Programme allows us to focus on the core platform while working with partners who bring deep application expertise, thereby enabling the technology to be adopted widely across many different use cases, from research to industry to future healthcare.”

Many of our Compatible Products Programme partners will also be participating in this week’s London Calling 2026 conference, showcasing how the platform ecosystem is advancing real-world genomic workflows. Learn more about London Calling 2026
