University of Birmingham - Genomics Birmingham
Genomics Birmingham offers flexible Oxford Nanopore sequencing services on the PromethION platform. We support whole-genome sequencing (WGS), native methylation analysis, ultra-long-read sequencing, long-read transcriptomics, direct cDNA sequencing, telomere studies, and customer-prepared libraries.
Our recent projects include WGS with methylation profiling using LSK114 libraries, ultra-long-read genome sequencing with flow-cell reloads to maximise yield, long-read RNA and direct cDNA sequencing, and targeted telomere analysis. We also provide sequencing-only services for customers preparing their own ONT libraries, including barcoded and ultra-long-read workflows.
Services can include Dorado basecalling, FASTQ generation, methylation calling, and guidance on experimental design and downstream analysis. Whether you require a complete end-to-end solution or high-throughput sequencing of prepared libraries, Genomics Birmingham can tailor Oxford Nanopore workflows to meet your research needs.
