- Oxford Nanopore at PAG 2024
Overview
Join us at booth #506 for the latest product news and to learn about ORG.one. This project, supported by Oxford Nanopore Technologies, is designed to enable the rapid sequencing of any critically-endangered species. Org.one aims to develop an active, distributed community of researchers to support the generation and communication of open data for conservation genomics, as well as ensuring local community involvement.
We will be conducting a live sequencing demo of Northern white-cheeked gibbon samples from the ORG.one project. Please join us at our booth during the Exhibit Hall reception at 7:45 PM, Sunday, January 14th.
Please register below for our Industry Workshop on Tuesday, January 16th at 1:30 PM. Hear leading researchers present their latest work demonstrating the advantages and novel applications of nanopore sequencing, including how Oxford Nanopore's ORG.one project is supporting the analysis and conservation of endangered species.
Join us for a reception at Stone Brewing on Monday, January 15th. See below for details and registration.
Industry Workshop
What You’re Missing Matters - ultra-rich data for impactful answers in plant and animal genomics
Date: Tuesday, January 16, 2024
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:40 PM PST
Location: Town and Country Ballroom C
Join Oxford Nanopore to learn how leading researchers are leveraging and applying the high-resolution capabilities of Oxford Nanopore sequencing. Our customers will present interesting applications of diverse genomic samples from pathogens to plant and animal species. Oxford Nanopore will also be presenting a brief technology and product update. Additionally, we will get an update from our ORG.one project and how it is supporting conservation efforts of critically endangered species. Refreshments will be served and space is limited, so please register in advance for the event.

ORG.one Symposium
ORG.one genomes for conservation of critically endangered species
Date: Friday, January 12, 2024
Time: 10:30 AM – 12:40 PM PST
Location: Pacific E
ORG.one supports conservation genomics through a program designed to support equitable, fast, and more localized sequencing projects. Through a partnership with Oxford Nanopore, ORG.one is enabling de novo reference genome sequencing of critically endangered species the world over. Enabling biologists to rapidly sequence, share, and study reference genomes, ORG.one is maximizing the impact of novel whole genome sequencing technologies.
This workshop highlights recent advances in organizational projects, sequencing centers, and de novo reference genome affiliated with the project. Talks will cover new advances in nanopore sequencing, genome assembly and annotation, and their applications in conservation genomics. Speaker details can be found here: https://pag.confex.com/pag/31/meetingapp.cgi/Session/9749.
