- Biography
Alex Kneubehl received his BSc in Molecular Biology from Ohio Northern University. He went on to earn his PhD in molecular virology and microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine, studying comparative genomics of relapsing fever group Borrelia spp. Alex is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics, Division of Tropical Medicine, in the Vector Biology and Bacterial Pathogenesis and Translation Virology laboratories, using functional genomics to investigate research questions in vector-host-pathogen interactions and disease ecology. Alex also conducts studies in comparative genomics and genomic surveillance of vector-borne pathogens both domestically and internationally.
