Oxford Nanopore initiates legal proceedings against Pacific Biosciences

On Friday 21st April 2017, Oxford Nanopore initiated its first legal proceedings in Europe against Pacific Biosciences* for infringement of EP1192453, which Oxford Nanopore has an exclusive right to commercialise under a license agreement with Harvard University.

This first suit was issued in the Patents Court of the High Court’s Chancery Division, UK.

Update 25th April: Oxford Nanopore has subsequently issued a second suit in Germany at the Mannheim Court.

*refers to Pacific Biosciences of California Inc and Pacific Biosciences Ltd (UK) in UK proceedings and Pacific Biosciences of California Inc in German proceedings.
