Jamie Moore is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, mentored by Dr Winston G. Timp. She completed her B.S. in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her research focuses on developing and applying sequencing technologies to gain a deeper understanding of biology. She integrates principles of molecular biology, epigenetics, and computational biology to assemble, annotate, and characterize genomes of diverse organisms, ranging from stingrays to CHO cells.
