Amy Denton is a Technical Specialist in the Tree of Life Core Laboratory at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. Her work involves performing HMW DNA extraction and HMW DNA fragmentation to enable the generation of reference genomes for the Tree of Life Programme. She is the taxonomic specialist for chordate species, with her work therefore focusing on the processing of birds, mammals, amphibians, and fish. Amy is also involved in several R&D projects related to the automation and optimisation of DNA extractions.
