ECCMID April 2022 Symposium: Evolution of rapid metagenomics for infectious disease applications

Clinical metagenomics has emerged as a powerful tool that can identify microbial pathogens and detect antimicrobial resistance in clinical settings. In this session, leading researchers presented the development and application of rapid metagenomics pipelines that identify pathogens and offer the future potential to support targeted antimicrobial therapeutic decisions for patients with infectious disease.
