Pre-conference workshops

This year, at the Nanopore Community Meeting, we are running two pre-conference workshops, which are available exclusively to delegates attending the conference in-person. Both workshops will take place in New York on Monday 5th December.

From single cells to whole genomes: nanopore data analysis workshop

In this one-day practical workshop, attendees will be introduced to Oxford Nanopore's EPI2ME Labs workflows for single cell transcriptomics (sockeye), whole human genome genetic variation (fast turnaround with SNP, SV, 5mC CpG and aneuploidy) and metagenomics.

An introduction to machine learning for Oxford Nanopore data

In this one-day practical workshop, attendees will learn the theory of using machine learning to basecall Oxford Nanopore signals, as well as to perform secondary analysis (variant calling).
Attendees are expected to have a solid grasp of computer programming, but no machine learning or Oxford Nanopore experience is required.
